Wildfire Evacuation Resources and Information

For our employees impacted by the wildfire alerts and evacuations, please contact the Sinclar office at (250) 563-3423 for support and further information.

Daily updates are available on our new toll free automated message line at 1 (855) 563-3710. These updates are recorded by 10:30 am each morning.

Update for Apollo Employees

Mill Operation Update - August 30, 2018

Apollo will resume full, normal operations, in both the Planer and Sawmill, starting with the afternoon shift on Monday, September 3rd.

If you have not been in contact with your supervisor in the last couple of days, please do so.

Department of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness



In the case of an evacuation alert or impending order for evacuation, it is important to ensure that you and your family are prepared in advance. For information on what to do both before and during a wildfire emergency, please visit the Get Prepared website at www.getprepared.gc.ca. Specific information relevant to wildfire preparation can be found under the Hazards and Emergencies section.


Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako  

Current regional information can be found on the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako website at www.rdbn.bc.ca and provides details for evacuation alerts and orders.


District of Fort St. James


Fort St. James Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) was activated at 10:00 hours August 13, 2018 in response to the Shovel Lake Fire Evacuation Alert. The EOC is located at 374 Manson Street on the second floor of the Fort St. James Fire Hall. The EOC Hours are 08:30 to 16:30 (or as needed). Northern Health


Information regarding Air Quality, Water Quality and Food Safety during wildfires can be accessed on the Northern Health website at www.northernhealth.ca under the Wildfire Information section or on their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/NorthernHealth/ .


Drive BC- Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure


Please remember to check the DriveBC Traveller Information System before heading out on the highways during the wildfire season. Up to date road reports and assistance with route planning is available 24 hours a day. You can find their website at www.drivebc.ca .


Prince George Emergency Reception Centre

Prince George Humane Society


The Prince George Humane Society is a community based, registered charity that provides a safe haven for abused, neglected and abandoned animals in the north; also focusing on rural and first nation communities.  This society was highly involved during the 2017 wildfires and is preparing to assist with displaced animals again this summer.  Their website is www.pghumanesociety.ca and their Facebook page is www.facebook.com/pghumanesociety .
